Elissa Williams is an advanced practice nurse specializing in the care and management of children and adolescents struggling with obesity. She currently provides services in the Adolescent Bariatric Surgery and Wellness & Weight Management outpatient programs, caring for each patient and family unit in a holistic, empathetic and non-judgmental manner. She specializes in integrating anti-obesity medications with lifestyle modifications to improve the health of her patient population. Ms. Williams is a strong advocate of those with obesity, and continues to educate and advocate on this topic at local, state and national levels. Ms. Williams is part of Lurie Children’s team of advanced practice nurses, one of the largest teams in Illinois specifically focused on the care and treatment of pediatric patients.
